600-watt, 880-nanometer conduction-cooled laser module introduced by DILAS for materials processing

Oct. 26, 2011
TUCSON, Ariz., 26 Oct. 2011. DILAS in Tucson, Ariz., is introducing a conduction-cooled, multi-bar, line-source laser module for materials processing applications such as solar, plastics welding, semiconductor processing, and thermal annealing. The laser modules come with a homogeneous top hat optical beam profile in the slow-axis and diffraction limited profile in the fast-axis. This module is capable of 600 Watts power output in 880 nanometers with +/-5-nanometer accuracy.

By applying these concepts, DILAS obtains a 97.5 percent (+/-2.5 percent accuracy) homogenized intensity profile in the slow-axis. The nominal line dimensions are 10.5 millimeters 325 microns. Customized focus geometries are available.

Conduction-cooled, multi-bar modules are available with optional features to include a power monitor and user exchangeable protection window. For more information contact DILAS online at www.dilas.com.
