Rugged AdvancedTCA computing for C4ISR, sensor processing, tactical networking introduced by SANBlaze

LITTLETON, Mass., 8 June 2012. The Defense Solutions Group of SANBlaze Technology Inc. in Littleton, Mass., is introducing the AdvancedTCA-based Rugged Compute Platform for Tactical Ops (RCP-Tactical Ops) for C4ISR, mobile tactical operations centers, mobile network operations centers, as well as ground, shipboard, and airborne battle management and communications systems.

The RCP-Tactical Ops embedded computing system for military embedded systems has computing density, inherent redundancy, class leading power efficiency, modularity and convenient serviceability thus addressing the COTS and SWaP-C requirements of Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) for DOD acquisition programs. It supports SIPERNet and NIPERNet (story continues below).

The Rugged Compute Platform for Tactical Ops is flexible, open standards platform based on ATCA technology. The RCP-Tactical Ops is a modular system with networked computing elements, data storage, switches, and payload blades.

The RCP-Tactical Ops is interoperable with rear I/O modules that mate with SPARC and X86 processor blades. I/O options include SVGA video, fibre channel, USB, RS232C 9-pin serial modem control, networking. and storage drive options.

Each system has redundant 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections for pipelined packet processing in a virtualized software operating system environments. It has 120-to-240-volt AC and -48-to-60-volt DC power supply options, as well as cooling capabilities.
