Compact fanless embedded computing system for factory automation introduced by Advantech

TAIPEI, Taiwan, 24 Feb. 2012. Advantech in Taipei, Taiwan, is introducing the ARK-1120 compact fanless embedded computing system for uses that need a simple but dependable controller such as thin-client and factory automation applications with space limited or low-power-consumption designs.

TAIPEI, Taiwan, 24 Feb. 2012. Advantech in Taipei, Taiwan, is introducing the ARK-1120 compact fanless computer for uses that need a simple but dependable controller such as thin-client and factory automation applications with space limited or low-power-consumption designs.

The ARK-1120 embedded computing system is powered by an Intel Atom N455 processor, and offers support for hard disk drive and CompactFlash memory. The computer also offers SUSIAccess, a smart remote management API so users can monitor, configure, and control several terminals and centralize maintenance.

Advantech SUSIAccess also supports FTP off-site backup of complete system and files, and full system and file restore if the system fails.

The ARK-1120 is fanless, measures 5.27 inches by 1.7 by 3.71 inches, supports a 2.5-inch SATA hard disk drive, consumes less than 10 Watts of power, and has one half-mini PCI Express socket expansion. Software support includes Windows 7, Windows 7 Embedded, Windows XP Professional, Windows XP Embedded, Windows CE 6.0, Linux, and QNX software operating systems.
