Navy turns to Honeywell to provide avionics displays for F/A-18F and EA-18G aircraft

U.S. Navy aircraft specialists needed several sizes of advanced multi-purpose displays for the avionics systems of the Navy Lot 35 F/A-18F jet fighter-bomber and EA-18G electronic warfare aircraft. They found their solution from the Honeywell Inc. Defense & Space Electronic Systems segment in Albuquerque, N.M.

They found their solution from the Honeywell Inc. Defense & Space Electronic Systems segment in Albuquerque, N.M.

Officials of U.S. Naval Air Systems Command at Patuxent River Naval Air Station, Md., awarded Honeywell Defense & Space Electronic Systems an $18.1 million contract modification Thursday to provide 124 full rate production advanced multi-purpose displays for the Lot 35 F/A-18F and EA-18G aircraft. The order consists of 70 5-by-5-inch forward avionics displays; 36 5-by-5-inch aft displays, and 18 8-by-10-inch avionics displays.
