Taiwan to receive four UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters

Stratford, Conn., 6 May 2012. Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., an aircraft manufacturer based in Stratford, Conn., will convert four UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters to a specific configuration for Taiwan.

Stratford, Conn., 6 May 2012. Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., an aircraft manufacturer based in Stratford, Conn., will convert four UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters to a specific configuration for Taiwan. The contract for this work is valued at $43.2 million and was awarded by the U.S. Army Contracting Command.

The UH-60M Black Hawk is a four-bladed, twin-engine, medium-lift utility helicopter. It has been in service with many different militaries and entered production in 2006.

Work for this contract will be performed at Sikorsky's facility in Stratford, Conn. Work is expected to be completed by November 2014.
