Northrop Grumman acquires M5 Network Security

FALLS CHURCH, Va., 26 Sept. 2012. Northrop Grumman Corp. (NYSE:NOC) has completed the acquisition of M5 Network Security Pty Ltd, a Canberra, Australia-based provider of cybersecurity and secure mobile communications products and services, and advanced analytics to Australian military and intelligence organizations.

FALLS CHURCH, Va., 26 Sept. 2012. Northrop Grumman Corp. (NYSE:NOC) has completed the acquisition of M5 Network Security Pty Ltd, a Canberra, Australia-based provider of cybersecurity and secure mobile communications products and services, and advanced analytics to Australian military and intelligence organizations. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

M5 Network Security Pty Ltd was established in 2003 and has additional offices in Melbourne, Australia and Tampa, Florida. The company's cybersecurity services offerings include infrastructure, incident response, consulting, and training.

For secure communication, M5 Network Security Pty Ltd offers the SCS line of products, which feature graphical user interfaces, one-touch set up, and simple configuration. The SCS line is designed for non-Information Technology specialists, and uses network traffic, SNMP, and event log data to detect and depair faulrs and provide clear advice on system or device status.

M5 Network Security Pty Ltd also has a robust research and development program, which creates custom hardware and software for customers along with proof-of-concept systems.

This acquisition will expand Northrop Grumman's Australian presence, and enhance their cyber security and communications offerings.
