U.S. Air Force selects TCG BOSS software for tactical data link testing and simulation

TEWKSBURY, Mass., 2 Oct. 2012. U.S. Air Force officials needed a software tool for tactical data link (TDL) testing and simulation. They found their solution at Tactical Communications Group (TCG), an independent provider of tactical data link (TDL) software solutions for military test, training, simulation, and operational applications. TCG won a multi-year U.S. Air Force contract award to provide its BOSS tactical data link testing and simulation solution.

Air Force personnel use TCG's BOSS solution in virtually all certification testing, such as verifying that link-enabled military airborne and ground command and control (C2) communication platforms comply with Link 11, Link 16, JREAP, SADL and other military communication standards. Under terms of the new award, TCG will provide certain requested enhancements and capabilities, enabling the Air Force to perform additional and even more complex data link testing and simulation procedures.

"With data link testing and simulation becoming increasingly complex, users need a solution which stays at the leading edge of all evolving data link standards, and which can address key new data link capabilities, such as network enabled weaponry and weapons data link,” says Nick Kropp, TCG's vice president of worldwide field operations.
