GPU for rugged computing applications webcast live on October 16

NASHUA, N.H., 9 Oct. 2012. Graphics processing unit (GPU) computing can do more than just render graphics and images. Aerospace and defense systems designers are using the latest GPU technology as parallel-processing engines for a variety of complex digital signal processing for radar, signals intelligence, electronic warfare, and other processing intensive applications.

Join John Keller, Chief Editor of Military & Aerospace Electronics, for a webcast as he speaks with experts from GE Intelligent Platforms, a global provider of embedded computing systems and boards, and Mercury Computer Systems, a designer and manufacturer of embedded, real-time digital signal and image processing sub-systems, as they discuss GPU computing for rugged applications.

Guests for the webcast include Peter Thompson, system architect for Mil/Aero Embedded Systems at GE Intelligent Platforms; Marc Couture, Director of Product Management at Mercury Computer Systems; and Simon Collins, Product Manager at GE Intelligent Platforms.

Attendees will learn about the most promising applications of GPU technology for rugged embedded computing applications, the most advanced and trusted providers of rugged GPU technologies, software and programming issues, standard and custom approaches, and the different approaches and alternatives of GPU technologies for rugged embedded computing.

Those who should attend are engineers, engineering managers, and program managers who are designing systems that require complex signal processing, such as radar, software-defined radio, electronic warfare, (EW), signals intelligence (SIGINT), and persistent-surveillance applications.

The webcast will take place on October 16, 2012 at 2:00 PM EDT. Register for the webcast here.
