Raytheon expands its cybersecurity offering with acquisition of Teligy Inc.

GARLAND, Texas, 24 Oct. 2012. Raytheon Co. (NYSE: RTN) has acquired Teligy, Inc., a technology development company, in an effort to expand Raytheon's cybersecurity offerings in wireless communications, vulnerability analysis, reverse engineering and custom kernel software and device driver development. These focus areas represent top priorities of intelligence, defense and commercial organizations worldwide.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The transaction will not materially impact Raytheon's total company sales or earnings per share for the fourth quarter of 2012 or fiscal year 2013.

The acquisition of Teligy is Raytheon's 11th cyber-related acquisition since 2007.
