U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command awards multiple software contracts under $7 billion SSES NexGen program

ARLINGTON, Va., 19 Oct. 2012. U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) officials selected several prime contractors to support software prototyping and upgrades under the Software and Systems Engineering Services Next Generation (SSES NexGen) program.

The U.S. Army awarded multiple indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contracts under the SSES NexGen program, which supports the Army's Software Engineering Center (SEC), has a ceiling of $7 billion, and spans two base years with one two-year option and one option year.

The Army Contracting Command—Aberdeen Proving Ground named the following companies as awardees under Solicitation Number W15P7T12RC005:

  • BAE Systems Information Solutions Inc.
  • Lockheed Martin Integrated Systems Inc.
  • Science Applications International Corp.
  • Sotera Defense Solutions Inc.
  • Northrop Grumman Systems Corp.
  • CACI Technologies Inc.
  • ManTech Sensor Technologies Inc.
  • Adams Communication & Engineering Technology
  • Computer Sciences Corp.
  • CGI Federal Inc., Subsidiary of CGI Technologies and Solutions Inc.
  • L-3 Services Inc., C2S2 Division/Formerly L-3 Titan Corporation
  • Booz Allen Hamilton Inc.

CECOM SEC plays a role for U.S. Armed Forces in developing software solutions and services, bringing them to their full potential, and delivering them in a timely manner to maintain superiority and information dominance.

The SSES NexGen program will support Army systems and software across the entire lifecycle, from development through fielding and operational support. The contract concentrates on providing software-related support in three primary mission areas involving in-theater U.S. forces, business systems, and enterprise-wide components.
