Rugged router for military vetronics and homeland security networking introduced by Parvus
SALT LAKE CITY, 28 Nov. 2012. Parvus Corp. in Salt Lake City is introducing the DuraMAR 31-5915 Cisco IOS-managed mobile rugged router designed to extend enterprise data networking infrastructure to mobile and embedded networking applications such as vetronics and other harsh military applications.
The DuraMAR 31-5915 mobile data router integrates Cisco’s 5915 embedded services router (ESR) card into a hardened system for tactical, mobile, vehicle, and outdoor installations in military, border security, transportation, offshore drilling, underground mining, smart grid, homeland security, and public safety applications.
With a dust- and water-proof (IP67) enclosure and ruggedized M12 or RJ-45 connectors, the DuraMAR 31-5915 is designed to interface with on board vehicle computers, cameras, Ethernet switches, sensors, monitoring devices, and command-and-control equipment in wide temperature ranges, shock, vibration, dust, and rain.
The rugged router operates in temperatures from -40 to 71 degrees, and provides Ethernet connectivity over rugged field deployable RJ-45 or M12 connectors in a sealed and fanless metal chassis for mounting to machine or flat surfaces.
