Rugged tablet computer for military personnel in the field introduced by MilDef

HELSINGBORG, Sweden, 11 Jan. 2013. MilDef CReTE Inc. in Helsingborg, Sweden, is introducing the Panther DT6 rugged tablet computer designed to provide military personnel with a rugged, easy-to-use device for use in the field.

The tablet features an 8.9-inch WSVGA liquid crystal display (LCD) touchscreen with anti-glare and anti-reflective coating for sunlight readability. The Panther DT6-I also is for field engineers and emergency services.

Based on the Panther DR886 military tablet, the Panther DT6-I also has a small keyboard for typing short messages or entering encryption keys.

The rugged tablet's hard drive is removable, and offers accessories, port, and communication options. The DT6 is customizable.

The standard unit is equipped with Bluetooth, USB, Serial Port and Ethernet, with options that include GPS, WLAN, and WWAN connectivity.
