MEDFIELD, Mass., 19 April 2013. Officials of Rugged display specialist Comark Corp. in Medfield, Mass., announced they have completed environmental testing of the company's latest version of the MDU19PC COTS ruggedized computer including MIL-901D grade A lightweight shock test.

The MDU19PC is an all-in-one display and computer designed and tested to meet military requirements for shipboard applications including propulsion, machinery control, and ECDIS navigation.

The panel is NEMA 4 rated when panel mounted and is available with an array of options including touchscreen, Intel 2nd generation core i5 or i7 processing, speakers and optional front access USB ports.

The MDU19PC has built-in processor and LED backlit display, and is part of a family of military-qualified, type approved panel PCs in sizes ranging 12 to 23 inches.

The MDU19PC is manufactured in the U.S. using long lifespan components to ensure multi-year availability for long-term military applications. The product complies with Federal Buy American Act requirements, company officials say.

“The 20.1-inch products common to the Navy have become obsolete due to the cease of LCD production, therefore the MDU19PC has been designed as a drop-in replacement for these Naval applications," says Keith Vreeland, business development manager at Comark.
