PCI Express MIL-STD-1553 databus interface chip for tight board spaces introduced by DDC

BOHEMIA, N.Y., 31 July 2013. Data Device Corp. (DDC) in Bohemia, N.Y., is introducing the BU-67302B0C0L-202 PCI Express-Express AceXtreme MIL-STD-1553 avionics databus interface chip for applications that must operate in industrial temperature ranges in which space is at a premium.

BOHEMIA, N.Y., 31 July 2013. Data Device Corp. (DDC) in Bohemia, N.Y., is introducing the BU-67302B0C0L-202 PCI Express-Express AceXtreme MIL-STD-1553 avionics databus interface chip for applications that must operate in industrial temperature ranges in which space is at a premium.

The rugged BU-67302B0C0L-202 provides dual MIL-STD-1553 transceivers, protocol, and 64K-by-36 of internal memory within one BGA device with a PCI-Express host interface.

The databus interface measures 15 by 20 millimeters, has less than 1.1 Watt power dissipation at 50 percent duty cycle, and operates in temperatures from -40 to 85 degrees Celsius.

It includes an IEEE 1149.1 compliant JTAG test interface to support boundary scan testing of circuit assemblies, a digital IRIG-B input, and 8 digital discrete I/O lines.

The device can replace two transceivers, MIL-STD-1553 protocol core, and memory; comes in a single package with PCI Express board design; is RT validated to simplify SAE-AS4112 qualification; and has RoHS versions available.
