KEMP, Texas, 7 Aug. 2013. Larson Electronics in Kemp, Texas, is introducing the EPEXC-100-250V heavy duty explosion-proof extension cord for extending the range of lighting and equipment in locations where flammable gases and vapors are present, and other extreme conditions.

The EPEXC-100-250V is 100 feet long and provides 20 amps of load carrying capacity to extend the reach of equipment in hazardous locations where power receptacles are not close to the work space.

This explosion-proof cord is constructed with 12/3 SOOW explosion-proof cord rated at 250 volts and 20 amps, and is fitted with an explosion-proof twist lock receptacle constructed of non sparking aluminum on one end for connection of equipment and a EPP-250-2P-20A explosion-proof plug on the other.

This cord and its plug and receptacle are a three-pole, two-wire design that works with most common explosion-proof equipment. The cord is oil and chemical and abrasion resistant, and the receptacle has deep-recessed contacts for protection against arcing and a powder coat finish for resistance to corrosion.

This cord is Class 1 Div 1 Groups C, D and Class 2 Div 1 Groups E, F, and G rated. For more information contact Larson Electronics online at www.magnalight.com.
