Sunlight-readable LCD monitors for military and law enforcement introduced by TRU-Vu

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill., 21 Nov. 2013. TRU-Vu Monitors Inc. in Arlington Heights, Ill., is introducing the SRM-15.6J and SRMTS-15.6J widescreen sunlight-readable monitors for military and law-enforcement applications.

The sunlight-readable displays are appropriate for applications in remote surveillance, ground stations, as well as for aircraft, surface ships, and ground vehicles, company officials say.

The SRM-15.6J liquid crystal display (LCD) has an 16:9 aspect ratio, 1,000 nits brightness, and 1366-by-768-pixel HD resolution. It provides DVI and BNC video inputs, as well as VGA and HDMI via the included adapter cables.

The SRMTS-15.6J touch-screen monitor has a surface acoustic wave (SAW) touch panel, with 1,000 nits brightness and other specifications as the SRM-15.6J.
