Rugged box PC computer for mobile applications like railways introduced by AAEON

TAIPEI, Taiwan, 20 Jan. 2014. AAEON Technology in Taipei, Taiwan, is introducing the high-end AEV-6356 box PC for rugged mobile applications subject to extremes in shock, vibration, and temperatures such as railways.
TAIPEI, Taiwan, 20 Jan. 2014. AAEON Technology in Taipei, Taiwan, is introducing the high-end AEV-6356 box PC for rugged mobile applications subject to extremes in shock, vibration, and temperatures such as railways.

The AAEON AEV-6356 rugged computer is for fanless embedded computing applications. It uses the Intel Core i7-3517UE processor and is EN50155-TX certified, which governs the operation, design, construction and testing of electronic equipment used on rail vehicles and in railway applications.

The rugged computer operates in temperatures from -40 to 70 degrees Celsius, and in temperatures as hot as 80 C for as long as 10 minutes. computer also adheres to vibration, anti-shock, and anti-drop regulations.

The AEV-6356 has an aluminum enclosure, isolated DI/O, and several power protections such as over-voltage protection, lower-voltage protection, surge voltage protection, and reverse voltage protection. The box computer also has rugged M12 connectors for LAN, serial, USB, and power ports.

The AEV-6356 can provide passenger entertainment systems, smart monitoring, and data connectivity to telemetry devices.
