FORT BLISS, Texas, 7 Jan. 2015. U.S. Army vehicle fleet management experts are surveying industry to find companies able to provide a Global Positioning System (GPS)-based fleet vehicle tracking system at Fort Bliss, Texas, that locate military vehicles anywhere in the continental U.S.

Officials of the Fort Bliss Directorate of Contracting issued a sources-sought notice Tuesday (W911SG-15-T-9101) for a GPS tracking and fleet management equipment project for Fort Bliss vehicles.

Fort Bliss officials are looking for companies able to provide the hardware, installation, training, wireless GPS tracking and fleet management. Fort Bliss is in El Paso, Texas, and is home to the Army's 1st Armored Division.

Army officials are interested in a Web-based solution capable of viewing all the vehicles equipped with GPS from anywhere within the continental U.S., and companies interested should be able to install equipment onsite at Fort Bliss locations.

Information gathered from this survey will help Army officials determine if they should issue a formal solicitation in the future.

Companies interested should email responses no later than 27 Jan. 2015 to the army's Stephen Holzworth at [email protected]. Include company name, address, telephone number, point of contact, DUNS number, and Cage code.

For questions or concerns telephone the Army's Israel Gutierrez at 915-568-7373. More information is online at https://www.fbo.gov/notices/da4557a7f501e202d450b51f121f0030.
