PCI Express Gen3 carrier board that facilitates use of commercial video boards introduced by VadaTech

HENDERSON, Nev., 12 Feb. 2015. VadaTech Inc. in Henderson, Nev., is introducing the AMC104 PCI Express Gen3 carrier board that enables systems designers to use high-performance commercial video or other boards MicroTCA systems.

The embedded computing carrier board provides the versatility of using high-end commercial graphics cards, which typically have short shelf lives, as removable mezzanines.

By providing a carrier, users can upgrade their PCI Express general-purpose graphics processing unit (GPGPU) or other video boards as needed.

The AMC module comes in a double-module, full size. It routes PCI Express Gen3 to the backplane as x4 or x8. Other has of the AMC104 include a temperature sensor, DIP switches for IPMI functionality, and a management RS-232 port.
