officials of the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Maxwell Air Force Base-Gunter Annex, Ala., are adding 10 companies to the previous 10 selected last summer that will compete for $960 million over the next 10 years to provide IT services such as sustainment, migration, integration, training, help desk support, testing and operational support.
The 10 new NETCENTS-2 Application Services contractors, announced Tuesday, are:
-- Accenture Federal Services in Arlington, Va.;
-- BAE Systems Engineering in McLean Va.;
-- Booz Allen Hamilton in McLean Va.;
-- Computer Sciences Corp. in Falls Church Va.;
-- Engility Corp. (formerly Dynamics Research Corp.) in Chantilly, Va.;
-- Harris IT Services Corp. in Herndon, Va.;
-- Hewlett Packard Enterprise Services in Herndon, Va.;
-- ManTech Systems Engineering Corp. in Fairfax, Va.;
-- Vencore in Reston, Va.; and
-- Leidos in Reston, Va.

These 10 companies join the original 10 NETCENTS-2 Application Services contractors chosen for the program last July. The original 10 contractors are:
-- Lockheed Martin Corp. in Gaithersburg, Md.;
-- Jacobs Technology in Fort Walton Beach, Fla.;
-- SRA International Inc. in Fairfax, Va.;
-- L-3 National Security Solutions in Reston, Va.;
-- Raytheon Co. in Garland, Texas;
-- InfoReliance Corp. in Fairfax, Va.;
-- CACI-ISS Inc. in Chantilly, Va.;
-- Northrop Grumman Information Systems in Herndon, Va.;
-- General Dynamics Information Technology in Needham, Mass.; and
-- IBM Corp. in Reston, Va.
Each of the 20 NETCENTS-2 Application Services contractors receives $2,500 up front, and will compete for delivery orders as needed.

Other services the NETCENTS-2 Application Services contractors will provide include exposing data from authoritative data sources to support Web-services or service oriented architecture constructs in Air Force enterprise environments.
This contract vehicle is the mandatory source for all Air Force units purchasing services that fall under the scope of the contract. The NETCENTS-2 program also provides IT equipment and services to the U.S. Army, Navy, Marine Corps., Department of Defense, and federal agencies.
In 2013 the Air Force finalized 25 companies to provide NETCENTS-2 computer equipment. They are:

NETCENTS-2 is a potential $6.9 billion six-year multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) contract to provide the Air Force with a primary source of network-centric and IT products, services, and solutions. Use of the NETCENTS-2 contracts is mandatory for Air Force organizations.

NETCENTS-2 is a set of five categories of contract capabilities spanning network-centric products, network operations and infrastructure solutions, applications services, enterprise integration and service management, and information technology professional services.
