BLACKSBURG, Va., 9 June 2015. VPT Inc. in Blacksburg, Va., is introducing the VXR series of military DC-DC converters and EMI filters for military ground vehicles, commercial and military aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs).

The VXR series of DC-DC converters and EMI filters are available in models ranging from 7 to 100 Watts with a continuous input voltage range from 9 to 60 volts DC and transient operation from 6 to 80 volts DC.

The VXR series power electronics uses VPT's patent-pending encapsulation process with EMI shielding and dual-sided thermal conduction. The epoxy-encapsulated packaging is resistant to chemical, solvent and salt environments and is compatible with high-volume manufacturing processes including wave solder, cleaning solvents, high-pressure sprays, and aqueous wash.
