3U CompactPCI Serial embedded computing board for military uses introduced by MEN Micro

BLUE BELL, Pa., 16 Sept. 2015. MEN Micro Inc. in Blue Bell, Pa., is introducing the G23 3U CompactPCI Serial embedded computing board based on the fourth generation Intel Core i7 microprocessor for aerospace, defense, and transportation applications.

BLUE BELL, Pa., 16 Sept. 2015. MEN Micro Inc. in Blue Bell, Pa., is introducing the CompactPCI Serial G23 3U embedded computing board based on the fourth generation Intel Core i7 microprocessor for aerospace, defense, and transportation applications.

The G23 single-board computer comes standard with a fourth generation Intel Core i7 processor with scalable performance that reaches a 3.4 GHz turbo boost frequency.

The G23 offers as much as 16 gigabytes of soldered DDR3 DRAM and the front I/O comprises two DisplayPorts, two Gigabit Ethernet, and two USB 3.0 interfaces. Rear I/O includes seven PCI Express, eight USB 2.0, two USB 3.0, five SATA ports, and one HDMI interface.

Due to the scalability of the CompactPCI and CompactPCI Serial family, existing systems can be equipped with the latest processor platform and are protected from component obsolescence.

MEN Micro uses Intel's mobile series CPUs that incorporate a robust design as well as provide guaranteed long-term component availability, which means at least 10 years in the railway market.

These CompactPCI boards withstand extreme vibration, shock, dust and humidity, use advanced cooling concepts to operate in a temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius and conform to market specific norms, like EN 50155 for railways.
