CONCORD, Calif., 9 Oct. 2015. Calex Mfg. Co. Inc. in Concord, Calif., is introducing the announces the availability of the HE series isolated 75 Watt triple output DC-DC converters.

All HE power electronics models are housed in an industry standard half-brick package measuring 2.28 by 2.4 by 0.55 inches. The input ranges available are 18 to 36 volts DC and 36 to 75 volts DC.

Output voltages available are 3.3 and 5 volts as the primary outputs and +/-12, +/-15 and +/-17 volts DC as the auxiliary outputs. The input to output isolation of all models is 700 volts DC for the 18-to-36-volt input models and 1544 volts DC for the 36-to-75-volt models.

All HE models feature undervoltage lockout and reverse polarity protection. The no-load input current is 15 milliamps and full load input current is 3.67 amps for the 18-to-36-volt input models and 1.8 amps for the 36-to-75-volt input models.

The switching frequency for the HE series is 325 kHz. Efficiencies run as high as 89 percent. The output voltage setpoint accuracy is +/-1 percent with zero turn on overshoot.

The temperature coefficiency of the HE is 0.003 percent/C typical. Line and load regulation is 0.01 percent and 1 percent respectively. All models are protected through pulse by pulse current limiting, over temperature protection, short circuit protection.

All models feature Remote ON/OFF. The OFF idle current is 2 milliamps DC. Output voltage trim also is available with a trim range of +/- 10 percent.

The case operating temperature range of the HE series is -40 to 100 degrees Celsius. The storage temperature range is -40 to 120 C. Unit weight is 4.6 ounces. Chassis-mounting kits are available for screw terminal connections.
