WATERLOO, Ontario, 6 April 2016. Pixus Technologies in Waterloo, Ontario, is announcing embedded computing upgrades to the its PXS13X0 series AdvancedTCA chassis to include 40 Gigabit Ethernet backplane options to IEEE 40GBASE-KR4.

The changes also include new 40 Gigabit Ethernet backplane, shelf manager, and Power Entry Module (PEM) options. The chassis has patented RiCool III fans options, cools more than 300 Watts per slot, while maintaining NEBS compliance and CPTA design guidelines.

The enclosures also have new shelf manager options from VadaTech (VT003) and PigeonPoint (ShMM-700R).

As the power requirements for AdvancedTCA applications continue to rise, the enclosures feature upgraded PEMs. The intelligent 100-amp PEMs have feeds that are limited to 25 amps. All of the fuses, input/output voltages, and total current are monitored.
