Broadband RF and microwave power amplifier for power-limited uses introduced by NuWaves

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio, 27 June 2016. NuWaves Engineering in Middletown, Ohio, is introducing the NuPower 11C01A broadband RF and microwave power amplifier for VHF to S-band radio communications transmitters and data radios.

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio, 27 June 2016. NuWaves Engineering in Middletown, Ohio, is introducing the NuPower 11C01A broadband RF and microwavepower amplifier for VHF to S-band radio communications transmitters and data radios.

The NuPower 11C01A delivers g a minimum of 10 Watts, and typically 15 Watts, of RF power from 225 to 2400 MHz when driven with a 0 dBm (1 milliwatt) RF input signal.

With power efficiency in the 25 percent to 45 percent range, and 40 dB of RF gain, the NuPower 11C01A provides high-efficiency RF amplification for a variety of transmitters, transceivers, and data links that do not require linear performance.

The power amplifier’s upgraded rugged aluminum chassis measures 3 by 2 by 0.65 inches, and operates in temperatures as high as 85 degrees Celsius at the baseplate.

The standby to transmit switching speed of less than 2 microseconds enables the user to switch between the operating modes, conserving energy between transmit cycles in power-limited applications such as unmanned aircraft systems (UAS).

It has a supply voltage range of 11 to 32 volts DC for RF communications, telemetry, and electronic warfare applications, including systems running on battery power.
