VAN NUYS, Calif., 28 June 2016. Optimal Engineering Systems Inc. (OES) in Van Nuys, Calif., is introducing the AU300-XZ motorized three-axis gimbal mount for lasers, cameras, optics, and instrumentation for pointing, scanning, tracking, positioning, and other applications.

The high-precision mount has 360-degree rotation on each axis and a rigid black anodized aluminum alloy frame of the three-axis gimbal mount. It handles loads as heavy as 22.5 pounds with 11.8-by-11.8-inch clearance.

The Azimuth stage rotary table measures 8.425 by 8.425 inches, and the azimuth, elevation, and roll stages all have bi-directional stepper motors capable of microstepping and with knobs for manual adjustments.

Each axis has low backlash worm gear drives and precision "V" grove and cross roller bearings for resolution of 3.6 arc seconds, and repeatability and positional accuracy to 18 arc seconds.

The AU300-XZ motorized three-axis gimbal mount comes as a plug-and-play system with a multi-axis controller, joy stick, track ball, or keypad, and with a 30-millimeter thru hole in the roll stage.
