WALLINGFORD, Conn., 5 Aug. 2016. Times Microwave Systems in Wallingford, Conn., is introducing the LP-STRH-N series RF lightning and surge protection products for outdoor and indoor RF and microwave systems.

The LP-STRH-N series is part of the company's Times-Protect line of lightning protection. The series is a DC blocked design with surge performance designed for the new Long Term Evolution (LTE) and public safety requirements in the 700-to-2700-MHz range.

With its PIM performance, low insertion loss, and low return loss over the operating band and surge performance, the Times-Protect LP-STRH-N product family has a weatherized construction that meets IP67 standards.

The LP-STRH-N series has high power handling capability and will withstand several lightning strikes, company officials say. Features include passive intermodulation (PIM) performance; IL/RL characteristics; DC blocked for surge performance; high surge current rating; broadband multi-strike design; high power rating over the frequency band; and weatherized housing to IP67 standard.
