Zentech boosts expertise in board design and contract manufacturing with IDS acquisition

WINDSOR MILL, Md., 26 Sept. 2016. Executives of contract manufacturing specialist Zentech Manufacturing Inc. Windsor Mill, Md., are boosting their company's expertise in printed circuit board design and rapid prototyping with their acquisition of Interconnect Design Solutions (IDS) LLC in Mount Pleasant, S.C. Terms of the deal were not released.

IDS focuses on printed wiring board design, mechanical engineering, rapid prototyping, and contract manufacturing. The company has special expertise in printed wiring board and mechanical engineering consulting for aerospace, automotive, telecommunications, and consumer electronics applications.

Zentech is an expanding electronics contract manufacturing company that focuses on printed circuit board assembly, testing, and design services. The company primarily serves the defense, aerospace, medical equipment, industrial controls, computing, and telecommunications industries.

Last May Zentech acquired contract manufacturer Colonial Assembly and Design LLC in Fredericksburg, Va., and the IDS acquisition also adds to Zentech's engineering services expertise.
