Power electronics to highlight February magazine supplement

December 1, 2003

John Keller

NASHUA, N.H. — Power electronics is the subject of a Military & Aerospace Electronics editorial supplement coproduced with the magazine's upcoming February issue.

The magazine-size supplemental publication will present analysis, products, and feature articles on the hottest power electronics opportunities and trends for power integrated circuits, components, subsystems, and integrated systems for military, space, commercial aviation, and homeland security applications.

Power components and subsystems continue to play a pivotal role in technological applications for military, aerospace, and homeland security. Today's military and aerospace electronic systems are increasing rapidly in sophistication, which is placing growing demands on power electronics to supply just the right levels of power to evolving new electronics systems.

Power Electronics Opportunities in Military and Aerospace Applications will feature editorial sections such as:

  • the most important and influential power electronics suppliers to the military and aerospace industries, and what these companies are doing to succeed in this challenging market — with an eye to influential applications to where power devices are going and why;
  • a discussion of design trends and new developments in power integrated circuits, power components, power subsystems, and integrated power systems for military and aerospace applications
  • news stories on companies that are integrating the latest power integrated circuits and components into avionics systems, vehicular electronics, command and control, shipboard electronics, and unmanned aerial vehicles; and
  • a digest of new products and their application sin this important power electronics market for defense, aerospace, and homeland security.

Engineers, engineering managers, and program managers, who are involved with integrating systems for military, aerospace, and/or homeland security applications, or recommending, specifying, and authorizing power components and subsystems will receive this special publication.

The deadline for editorial material is Jan. 1. Contact Military & Aerospace Electronics Senior Editor Ben Ames by phone at 603-891-9278, or by e-mail at bena@pennwell.com to be considered for this supplement.
