APEM Components Inc. in Haverhill, Mass., is offering two sealing boots to its line of durable sealing boots for switches. These sealing boots feature a soft feel to facilitate prehension and provide stringent protection to IP67. They can function after immersion under 1 meter of water for 30 minutes without water ingress. Recommended applications include optical line-termination units, control handles, vehicular intercom systems, and talk switches. The sealing boots are for front-panel mounting next to joysticks. The smaller of the two, U2252, can be mounted on the standard levers of APEM’s 12000, 3500, 3600 and 600 toggle switches, while the larger one, U2197, is intended for APEM’s X2243 long lever of the 3600 and 600 series.
