Air Force picks ITCN for embedded test system

Engineers in the Electronic Warfare Systems Group at Robins AFB, Georgia, needed an embedded test system for electronic countermeasures systems. They chose the Computer Tester, Analyzer and Controller (C-TAC) system from ITCN, Inc., Dayton, Ohio.

The C-TAC Embedded System Analyzer provides real-time nonintrusive (RTNI) embedded system monitoring. It combines the features of a data acquisition system, in-circuit emulator (ICE), logic analyzer, and bus analyzer in one system.

Airmen use C-TAC Systems to develop operational flight programs for the AN/ALR-69 radar warning receiver, AN/ALQ-135 tactical electronic warfare system, AN/ALQ-155 electronic countermeasures power management system, AN/ALQ-172 radar warning system, and the Royal Saudi Air Force AN/ALQ-135.

Under terms of the contract, ITCN will provide engineering support in-plant and at the Electronic Warfare Avionics Integrated Support Facility (EWAISF) and the Electronic Combat International Security Assistance Program (ECISAP) facility at Robins AFB.

“The C-TAC systems have been supporting EWAISF/ECISAP programs since the late 1990s and ITCN has been pleased to add engineering support and maintenance,” said Roy Penwell, ITCN president. “This new contract will allow us to continue this important work.”

ITCN provides products for embedded system monitoring. The company has provided instrumentation for military and commercial programs such as the B-2, C-17, F-15, F-18, P-3, 747, TITAN, HAWK, ALQ-135 and LANTIRN. For more information, see www.itcninc.com.
