13U AdvancedTCA chassis with cooling and cable management

September 1, 2005

Elma Electronic Inc. in Fremont, Calif., is offering a 13U AdvancedTCA chassis with superior cooling performance optimized through thermal simulation, and a robust cable-management solution, company officials say. The chassis accepts 14-slot dual-star or full-mesh backplanes. The 13U height offers more space for airflow than 12U versions. Dual fan trays with four 150-cubic-foot-per-second fans are below the card cage. There are also separately removable air filters. Cable management features a removable bracket in the front of the chassis, and the shape of the cable tray prevents the cables from bending too sharply. The 13U ATCA chassis also includes dual RJ-45 jacks in the rear and honeycomb air filter for intake and exhaust. Dual-redundant shelf managers are pluggable in the card cage, without sacrificing any of the 14 slots. Customized versions are available. For more information contact Elma online at www.elma.com.
