Rugged laptop computer with 15-inch screen

Getac Inc. in Lake Forest, Calif., is offering the M220-5 rugged laptop computer that features a 15-inch screen for harsh commercial and industrial applications. The screen, which is a TFT XGA LCD sunlight-readable screen certified to work in harsh environments, is sandwiched between a protective glass layer inside and special ribbed encasement on the outside. The computer has a die-cast magnesium body for durability against 3-foot drops and exposure to dust and water spray from any direction. The computer has an Intel Dothan LV processor (Pentium M) with Centrino mobile technology. The fanless design functions in temperatures hotter than 140 degrees Fahrenheit.
