Expanding the scope of its visible LED and HiRel product lines, TT Electronics OPTEK Technology in Carrollton, Texas, developed military-grade visible LEDs in a variety of colors designated the OMV series. These high-reliability LEDs are mounted in hermetic TO-18 metal can packages. They are initially available in red, yellow, green, and blue; with multicolor and white LEDs planned for a 2006 release.
