Real-Time Innovation in Santa Clara, Calif., is offering the RTI Data Distribution Service (formerly NDDS) version 4.1 messaging and integration software for real-time applications. RTI Data Distribution Service 4.1 enhances control over messaging quality of service for application-specific optimization of throughput, network bandwidth, and processor load. These extensions triple the throughput possible on embedded processors, and deliver as many as 60,000 messages per second with latencies as short as 65 microseconds on a standard PC, company officials say. The new software offers asynchronous publishing and content filtering for high message throughput while keeping adverse influences on the network and processor to a minimum.
