Form-fit-function function generator replacement

Geote4st-Martin Test Systems Inc. in Irvine, Calif., is offering the GP1616 form-fit-function replacement for the obsolete HP8116 function generator, company officials say. The firmware of the GP1616 is compatible with that of the Hewlett Packard 8116. Test program sets that make use of this legacy instrument need no code modification when replacing the HP8116 with the GP1616, which uses direct digital synthesis for stability and accuracy in the frequency range of 1 micro-hertz to 50 MHz. The GP1616 has amplitude modulation, frequency modulation, and precision bursts for trigger, gate, and burst modes. The unit has internal storage of as much as 10 sets of parameters and settings by using its internal non-volatile memory. For more information contact Geotest-Marvin online at www.geotestinc.com.
