High-reliability military and aerospace parts

AVX Corp. in Myrtle Beach, S.C., has developed an automotive-plus series (APS) of parts qualified to the Automotive AEC-Q200 standard, but manufactured and quality assurance-tested specifically for the high-reliability requirements of the military and aerospace industry. The new series features the industry-preferred base metal electrode system (BME) for X7R ceramic. Parts include X7R dielectric components containing BME electrode and copper terminations with a Ni/Sn plated overcoat; X7R dielectric components BME electrode and soft terminations with a Ni/Sn plated overcoat; Epoxy finished components, which allow the parts to be conductive glue-mounted; and NP0 dielectric components containing Pd/Ag electrode and silver termination with a Ni/Sn plated overcoat. APS-NP0, X7R, and X7R Flexiterm components are also available finished with tin lead. For more information contact the company online at www.avx.com.
