Micro-D connectors are QPL-qualified for production per MIL-DTL-83513

March 1, 2006

Axon’ Cable Inc. in Schaumburg, Ill., is placing its Micro-D 0.05-inch pitch connectors on the QPL-83513 list and is certifying these parts according to MIL-DTL-83513. This Qualified Parts List (QPL) approval enables the company to widen its product range and to do business with military companies throughout the world that require this type of certification. Micro-D connectors meet guidelines for vibrations and shocks, robustness, durability, low contact resistance, and dielectric strength. All of the company’s mil-qualified products use a twist-pin technology. The connectors are half the size of more commonly used connectors, and are for severe operating conditions where weight saving, miniaturization or signal transmission integrity are paramount. Such conditions are generally seen in aerospace, military, industrial, medical or offshore applications. For more information contact the company online at www.axon-cable.com.
