General Micro Systems Inc. in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., is offering the ROCK rugged conduction-cooled CompactPCI single-board computer for military applications. The board offers fast processing per watt, and provides system health monitoring and reporting per PICMG 2.9 specifications. The board has a 1.4 GHz Intel Pentium M-738 microprocessor with two megabytes of L2 cache. For ultralow power consumption, the ROCK also is available with the Intel Celeron M373 microprocessor. The board operates in temperatures from -40 to 85 degrees Celsius. If the board temperature is colder than 0°C and the board-s core does not report proper initialization, then a microcontroller turns on heaters and repeats initialization until a proper report is received. The board also offers dual Gigabit Ethernet with TCP/KIP offloading engine on a PCI-X bus. For more information contact General Micro Systems online at www.gms4sbc.com.
