VXS processor mesh chassis with 12 slots for 9U to 12U heights

Elma Electronic Inc. in Fremont, Calif., is offering a VXS processor mesh chassis with 12 slots that comes in 9U to 12U heights in various configurations. VXS Processor Mesh is a powerful architecture with bandwidth that can deliver 112.5 gigabits per second of aggregate throughput within the processing mesh in one chassis. This is a throughput improvement of six times over currently available technology. The chassis features a 12-slot Processor Mesh backplane from Elma Bustronic. The backplane features a combination of VXS mesh slots, VXS payload slots, central I/O, and legacy VME64x slots. The 19-inch rack-mount chassis features a scratch-resistant, power-coated alodined aluminum enclosure. The power supply options are from 2 × 350 W (N+1) to 750 W to 3 × 600 W (N+1). The front-to-real cooling configuration features up to 3 × 118 CFM fans above and below the card cage in the 12U version. Each chassis height has various cooling options. Rear I/O, drives, and system monitoring are all optional. Elma chassis are assembled, wired, and tested prior to shipment. For more information contact the company online at www.elma.com.
