Officials of ITT Electronic Components in Newton, Mass., are offering the C&K EP pushbutton and ET rocker and toggle switches in SA1 termination to provide circuit designers with a space-saving right-angle board-mount configuration for subminiature switches. “Compared to the SA termination style, the SA1 termination saves 3 mm of solder pad space, allowing for denser switch populations on a printed circuit board,” says David Webber, worldwide product line manager for ITT Electronic Components. “Adding the SA1 termination style completes the full family of terminations for our EP and ET switch lines.” The EP and ET switch series are RoHS-compliant and carry a UL 94V-0 rating. Operating temperature range for the switches is -30 to 85 degrees Celsius, with dielectric strength of 1000 Vrms minimum at sea level. The switches have 30,000-cycle life expectancy.
