STK 8 software for national security and space analysis

March 1, 2007

Analytical Graphics Inc. (AGI) in Exton, Pa., is releasing STK 8, the latest version of its software for the analysis of land, sea, air, and space assets. STK 8 also provides expanded enterprise data sharing; enhanced features for globe building, terrain, and imagery analysis; and additional aircraft and UAV mission modeling and 3-D visualization capabilities. With STK 8, AGI has realigned its product suite into three STK editions-Basic, Expert, and Professional. Each version can be augmented with add-on modules supporting integration and customization; terrain, imagery, and map data; and other specialized analyses. The free STK Basic Edition solves fundamental location and intervisibility problems associated with land, sea, air, and space scenarios. STK Professional and STK Expert editions include dynamic 3-D visualization with the ability to perform complex design and operational analysis. The release also expands its interactive AGI Viewer product offering with the new AGI Viewer Pro-an option for users who display multiple STK scenes and add or modify images, terrain, or GIS layers.
