U.S. Air Force officials sought to put more digital displays and tablet computers in the hands of soldiers worldwide. To do so, they partnered with executives at Emtec Federal, a provider of information technology systems in Chantilly, Va.

Emtec Federal won awards as part of the Air Force Quarterly Enterprise Buy (QEB) program to provide roughly 70,000 Samsung 19-inch displays and 1,000 Lenovo Convertible PC Tablets. The total value of the contract is expected to exceed $17 million.

Emtec Federal will deploy the systems to agencies across all Air Force organizations worldwide in stages. For more information, visit Emtec Federal online at www.emtecinc.com.
