NextComputing LLC deserved mention in rugged computer feature

April 1, 2008

To The Editor: I read with interest the feature in the January 2008 issue of Military & Aerospace Electronics on rugged mobile computers. Unfortunately, you omitted mention of my company, NextComputing LLC in Nashua, N.H.

NextComputing was originally founded in 1999 by our president and chief technology officer, Bob Labadini on the premise of providing clients with a unique type of service in industries that need quality computer services, small form factor, and highly portable equipment.

Our mission is to provide the highest-performance, mobile, and “small-footprint” computing solutions to federal and commercial enterprise markets. Our main products, such as the NextDimenson, are based on our unique “FleXtreme” architecture to provide our customers with some of the highest performance machines in a small footprint, portable package, and we give them the flexibility to choose low-wattage processors and other components to build the perfect system to fit their needs.

By providing these options in a small, briefcase-sized package, we have created a new category of computer, the flextop, which features the portability of a laptop and the performance and flexibility of a desktop workstation.

In addition to our “flextop” line of computers, NextComputing also offers ruggedized versions of our systems in the Vigor line of portable workstations, laptop/workstation replacements in our NextBook line, and even high-end servers with our NextServer line. NextComputing was just named in Inc. Magazine’s list of the “Top 5000 Fastest Growing Companies in America,” as well as ranked number 39 in the “Top Companies in Computers & Electronics.”
