ACS Motion Control in Plymouth, Minn., is introducing a family of motion-control modules that provide multi-axis motion control for a variety of motion-control applications. Designated SPiiPlus Econo Series, the two-, four-, six-, or eight-axis motion controllers are available in two versions, the SpiiPlus Stand Alone LT and the SpiiPlus PCI LT. The SPiiPlus Econo Series controllers are for machinery that requires multi-axis synchronization at a low cost by providing swift and smooth motion at a high resolution without compromising accuracy and throughput. The devices are for machinery that requires multi-axis synchronization with various drive types, such as liner servo motors, piezo ceramic, direct drive rotary, voice coil, and low-EMI linear amplifiers in applications including semiconductor manufacturing, wafer inspection, electronic assembly, printing, and packaging. The devices come with a simple and convenient D-Type connectivity for interfacing with the servo amplifiers, analog and incremental encoders, as well as digital and analog I/O. The modules also feature I/O handling with logic capabilities and IEC 61131-3 graphical motion and logic programming. The motion controller communicates via the PCI bus, or as stand-alone control. It can meet the application requirements for robotic control to XY stage point to point positioning. For more information, visit ACS Motion Control online at www.acsmotioncontrol.com.
