DC-DC converter power supply for aerospace and battery power applications introduced by Murata

November 1, 2009

Murata Power Solutions Inc. in Mansfield, Mass., is introducing the UWE-5/15-Q48N-C and the UWE-15/5-Q12P-C eighth-brick, 4:1 ultra-wide input isolated DC-DC converter power supply. Typical applications include aerospace power, military power, devices that run on battery power, and distributed power architectures in industrial, high-reliability, networking, and telecommunications applications. The UWE-5/15-Q48N-C power elec-tronics device (15 amps at 5 volts DC) and the UWE-15/5-Q12P-C DC-DC converters (5 amps at 15 volts DC) provide as much as 75 watts of output power, and are drop-in replacements for commonly used 100-watt, quarter-brick devices. The eighth-brick, industry-standard, through-hole aerospace power supply package has overall dimensions of 0.9 by 0.36 inches. Operating temperature range is -40 to 85 degrees Celsius with derating.
