Tech Source offers graphics boards for air traffic control and other embedded applications

March 1, 2009

Tech Source Inc. in Altamonte Springs, Fla., is introducing its Condor series of PMC and XMC graphics-processing embedded modules for military and air traffic control (ATC) applications. The high-end Condor graphics boards provide 2D and 3D capabilities for military, ATC, avionics, and other embedded applications. The products use ATI Radeon graphics processor technology from Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) in Sunnyvale, Calif. Tech Source has a reputation in ATC applications with its Raptor graphics boards. The first two products are the Condor 1000x and Condor 1000p with XMC and PMC form factors, respectively. Both boards offer DVI and VGA outputs on the front panel as well on the back connectors. The DVI output supports graphics resolutions as fine as 2048 by 2048 pixels, and the VGA supports 2048 by 1536 pixels. Operating system compatibility includes Windows and Linux. Tech Source will offer benign, semi-rugged, and ruggedized versions of these graphics boards. Samples of the benign version are available now; semi-rugged and rugged versions will be out by this spring. For more information, visit Tech Source online at www.techsource.com.
