Crystek Corp. in Fort Myers, Fla., has unveiled its CVCO55CC-2745-2860 VCO (voltage-controlled oscillator). This newly released VCO operates from 2745 MHz to 2860 MHz with a control voltage range of 0.5V~4.5V. The new solution from Crystek also features a typical phase noise of -106 dBc/Hz @ 10KHz offset and has excellent linearity, says a representative. The VCO’s output power is typically +4 dBm. The model CVCO55CC-2745-2860 is packaged in the industry-standard 0.5 x 0.5-inch SMD package. Input voltage is 5 volts, with a maximum current consumption of 35 mA. Pulling and pushing are minimized to 0.8 MHz and 1.3 MHz/V, respectively, according to a company representative. Second harmonic suppression is -15 dBc typical. The CVCO55CC-2745-2860 is well suited to a variety of mil-aero applications, such as digital radio equipment, fixed wireless access, satellite communications systems, and base stations.
