The company also is delivering the Afghan army its RT-7000 long-range HF radio and the PRC-1099 man-portable HF radio. The contract includes spare parts and installation kits.

Work on the sole-source contract will be at Datron’s factory in Vista, Calif., and should be finished by early 2014.
