Curtiss-Wright Controls Embedded Computing in High Wycombe, England, is introducing the quad-channel ADC513 FPGA Mezzanine Card (FMC/VITA 57) embedded computing module–a 1.5-gigasamples-per-second, 8-bit, analog-to-digital converter card that supports data throughput per channel of as much as 1,500 megasamples per second. Designed for demanding military embedded systems that involve direct RF down conversion, digital video surveillance, military signals intelligence, satellite communications, and software-defined radio applications, the ADC513 provides bandwidth I/O direct to the host card’s field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs). The module routes high-speed A-D I/O directly to the host board’s FPGAs via the FMC connector. Available in air-cooled and conduction-cooled rugged versions, the ADC513 has two onboard National Semiconductor ADC08D1520 A-D devices.
